You May Not Know Craig But You Should Thank Him For Making His List

Founded just over a decade ago, Craigslist has become one of the world's largest centralized networks of online communities and receives over 9 billion page views per month. Initially starting as an email list to promote local events that would be of interest to computer and technological users in the San Francisco area, there has been a progression to the world-wide phenomena that exists today.

One of the major reasons for the growth is that the only charges for the site are for paid-for job advertisements in certain cities and paid for broker advertisements in New York City, which acts as the singular source of revenue for the site but also ensures that there are very few costs to limit people's use of the site. This lack of charge has helped to create a vibrant community with a high turnover of people who search the site regularly which ensures businesses can reach a huge potential market.

The amount of products up for sale, discussion forums, personal ads and all manner of topics ensures there is a massively high number of people who will click on the page each day. With so many distinct markets being catered to, there is a great chance for any firm to be able to reach a large number of specific groups for next to no cost. This is the key to why firms will use Craigslist as it can provide access to a particular market for virtually no cost when gaining access to these people by other media means would cost an excessive amount.

Another particular reason there has been a massive rise in the usage of Craigslist is the evolution of the site which now caters to at least 450 cities in over 50 countries worldwide; which means there is a strong chance that many people will be able to find local information that is relevant to their needs. This local focus provides a level of direct marketing that would be envied by many firms and the ability to target a specific localized market means a more specialized approach can be taken by firms or sellers.
One benefit of Craigslist as opposed to the number of safe lists that are available is that the user does not have to offer their email-address or any contact details to view the ads and information. This approach will appeal to consumers wary of freely handing out their contact details to unknown users, making Craigslist the ideal source for them. Craigslist also has a very simple look and feel to it which means that it is welcoming to all potential users of the internet, including the novice. There is a very simple and down-to-earth feel to the site that appeals to many but also belies the vast power and user-base that the site plays host to.

Craigslist allows a firm to gain access to a larger number of consumers they would be able to reach by any conventional marketing approach which makes it such a great tool to use. If even a minuscule percentage of the users of Craigslist go on to purchase from the company, it will still provide a positive return for next to no investment and even if using the sites does nothing but create an awareness and/or drives traffic, then there will have been a huge benefit gained.

Internet Promotion - Advantages and Disadvantages

The emergence of globalise trade, increase in foreign investment and cross-border transactions have put many small businesses under pressure to find innovative ways to continue to market their products and services. This is especially difficult given that they often operate on tight marketing budgets.

In the quest for cheap marketing alternatives, these small businesses continue to use conventional marketing tools such as newspaper, magazine, radio and television advertisements, unaware of the advantages that Internet Promotion offers. All too often, these entrepreneurs focus on the disadvantages of Internet Promotion and fail to adequately take advantage of the opportunities that it presents. Moreover, their preoccupation with conventional marketing strategies is driven by a misconception that these are cheaper than Internet Promotion.

To most small business entrepreneurs, marketing or promoting their products or services via the Internet can be a daunting task. However, with adequate information small businesses can benefit significantly from Internet Promotion while minimising the disadvantages that it presents. In fact, it may prove to be the marketing strategy that generates the highest return on investment.

The Advantages

Cost Effective and Enduring Marketing Strategies

The Internet has become the information superhighway for the buying public. Most persons prefer the hassle free transactions that Internet shopping can offer. As a result, the Internet has become the most powerful selling tool. Internet Promotion offers cost effective ways for small businesses to enhance their product or service distribution networks. For example, the use of portals can help create new marketing channels and logistics, or provide better or faster product access for customers.

In comparison to other forms of marketing, Internet Promotion presents the advantage of reduced budget and storage costs, when compared with printing brochures, producing television or radio advertisements or managing a call centre. It presents a fast and cost effective option for penetrating new markets.

Market Penetration

With millions of person using the Internet to search for products and services, small businesses can penetrate other markets at a fraction of the cost of traditional marketing methods.

Websites act as virtual storefronts, allowing businesses to stay open 24/7. Internet Promotion gives a business greater visibility, thereby creating more opportunities for increasing its customers at relatively low cost. Never before has it been easier for an upstart business to be able to reach out to literally millions of potential customers and to position themselves for success, without the need for costly infrastructure and overwhelming marketing costs. Thanks to the Internet, new businesses can become popular almost overnight.

Low Cost, Instant Communication

Email makes business communications instant, whether the customer or business affiliate is across the street or across the globe. It makes it easier for customers to maintain contact and readily facilitates repeat purchasing. An effective online strategy can therefore turn a small web business into a virtual cost saver and income-generating machine. The net result is that the small business can gain significant competitive advantage in a given market.

Many online businesses have therefore resorted to the use of ezines, blogs, pop-up ads and other online marketing tools to let customers know about new products or services as well as provide information relevant to their respective industry. The benefits of this strategy are two fold. Marketers can effectively heighten brand awareness for relatively new products on the market whilst strengthening customer relationships, with shorter time frames.

Content is Timeless

Internet Promotion also provides the advantage of being enduring. Whereas participation at a trade fair or conference loses sales impact, once it is over, and an advertisement in a newspaper or business magazine may quickly lose its sales generating value within a day or two or as soon as the next issue is released; Internet Promotion is often timeless. Apart from the dates and sometimes prices, much of your website content remains valid years after.

Real Time Statistics For Measuring Success of Promotion Campaign

One of the most significant advantages of Internet Promotion is that its success is measurable. Marketers can use tools that provide real time statistics, on unique visitors, repeat visitors, click through rates (CTR) on advertisements, thereby allowing them to evaluate the effectiveness of a promotion campaign. This enables marketers to determine what works for their particular market and to make timely changes in their marketing strategies.

Time Saving

Another important advantage of Internet Promotion is that it saves time since it generally does away with counselling on product uses and benefits, service information and sales administration. Visitors can access "frequently asked questions" to help themselves, and can buy online, without the involvement of staff. This saves time and money. So, whether 10 or 10,000 visitors visit the site, the increased cost is marginal whilst the savings can be immense.

But like any business approach, Internet Promotion is not without its risks and weaknesses.

Disadvantages

Difficulty in Attracting Customers

Small business may not have the resources to pay for paid directory inclusion, pay per click inclusions and often have to rely solely on search engine optimisation or word of mouth to drive traffic to their sites. With millions of businesses selling the same product and services, competing with more established businesses can be frustrating and costly venture for small business.

On the other hand, larger companies can offer promotions, pay for directory inclusions, implement pay per click campaigns as well as employ the who is who in internet marketing to develop campaigns that generate traffic and leads.

Difficulty in Evaluating Legitimacy of Transaction

Another notable disadvantage of doing promoting businesses online is that it may be difficult for the businesspersons and consumers to thoroughly evaluate the legitimacy of a transaction. Small businesses are particularly vulnerable to thieves using stolen credit cards and stolen information to do online transaction.

With Internet credit card and identity fraud on the rise, small businesses are forced to finance costly security measures to reduce their vulnerability to fraudulent transactions.

Salespersons and Customers are Isolated

Another disadvantage of promotion via the Internet is that the customers and businesspersons are isolated. There is little personal contact between customer and salesperson prior to and after the sales is closed. Thus, the prospect for repeat sales may thus be diminished. Entrepreneurs are therefore compelled to adopt marketing strategies to drive online users back to their site.

From all indications, it appears that the advantages of Internet promotion, far exceed the disadvantages. With adequate knowledge, entrepreneur can benefit significantly from Internet promotion, especially small business owners.

More and more, the growth and outreach of the Internets, its ease and accessibility for customers is becoming inevitable. Small business would therefore be well advised to start their web advertising function in order to improve their competitiveness online.

8 Low-Cost Advertising Ideas

Despite what you may have heard, advertising doesn't necessarily have to be expensive. In this article, I'm going to give you eight low-cost advertising ideas. These ideas can be used for both online and offline businesses.

1. Article Marketing is far and away my favorite method of promoting my business. If you write articles and allow them to be freely published, your articles become viral, meaning your articles can actually spread like a virus and have the potential to be viewed by hundreds of thousands of Internet users.

2. Targeted ezine advertising is one of the most cost-effective ways to promote your business. For example, you can purchase an ad in DEMC for around $50 and reach 36,000 people. For a list of suitable ezines to advertise in, visit BestEzines.com

3. If done properly, Google AdWords is still a very cost-effective way to advertise your business, despite rising pay-per-click costs.

4. Advertise in local neighborhood newspapers. In some areas they're called "Pennysavers," and in other areas they're simply known as "shoppers." Whatever they're called, you can place your ad in front of thousands of eyeballs for as little as $10 a week.

5. Buy television ads on local cable TV. Cable tv ads are cheaper than you might think, and you can target your ads to run in specific parts of your city. Check with you local cable company for more information.

6. Advertise on high-traffic websites. There are many websites that will allow you to advertise your products and services on their websites very inexpensively. Visit AdBrite.com for more information.

7. Advertising in a local direct mail package like Valpak can also be very cost-effective. And since you'll be sharing an envelope with other local businesses, you'll pay a fraction of what it might cost otherwise. For more information visit Valpak.com

8. Participating in online forums is an excellent way to get the word out about your business - and it's free. To find a forum related to your particular business, just go to your favorite search engine and type in the kind of forum you're looking for. For example, if you sell dolls, you would type in "doll forums." And if you sell real estate, you would simply type in "real estate forums."

Online Marketing - Steps To Get Your Squidoo Marketing Lens On The First Page Of Google

Is your lens just not making it onto the first page of Google like it's suppose to? Here are some great tactics to help you put it where it belongs.

Step 1: Digg it

Digging is a valuable way to get your account promoted and increase it's page rankings with Google. When you digg your lens, that lens goes into the digg.com database and is then quickly sent to Google. A great thing about digg.com is that people can vote if your content is valuable or not. Use this to your advantage! You can digg your own lens! It's perfectly fine! Just don't make it look like it's spam. The more people digg your lens, the more Google increases your page ranking! This is the most valuable marketing tactic for any squidoo lens, with digg.com alone, you can easily dominate your competition. And GOOGLE LOVES DIGG! Digg it!

Step 2: Bookmarking

Social bookmarking is one of the fastest and easiest ways to get backlinks to your website from websites with public relationships of more than 4. Google loves backlinks, so if Google loves it, then Google should have it. All you do with a social bookmarking website, is that you enter in your lens' information and click send. That's all there is to it. I suggest that you use onlywire.com though. It's free and it sends your information to all of the social bookmarking websites that your signed up with. It just makes the process easier and faster.

Step 3: Pinging

Pinging your lens can improve your page rankings with Google. When you send in a ping, it notifies the social bookmarking websites that your profile has been updates and that tells the social bookmarking website, that you update your information frequently. Google loves this. Whenever you ping, your telling Google, Hey, I update my information with valuable resources frequently. Google loves it. I suggest that you use both pingoat.com and pingomatic.com

Step 4: Craigslist

Use craigslist.org to enter in a free advertisement. Google likes craigslist, so your page ranking will also increase. Just sign up with craigslist, it's absolutely free, and just put up your lens information in the small biz ads. This is a great way to increase your page rankings.

Step 5: Updating your information

Update your lens frequently. I cannot stress how important this is to your lens' success. But if you're lazy, I suggest that you use the RSS feed submission and put in a link to someone else's blog. Make sure that their blog is updated frequently. This technique is great if your too lazy to update your own information onto your lens.

Step 6: Social networking

This is the final and last step. This step should only be used if you feel like it or the other steps, just aren't working. Go onto any social networking website that talks about whatever your lens is about and start contributing to that community. The more you contribute, the more people will go to your website. Just put your websites link in your signature. Don't talk about your website, this is bad! I suggest that you use myspace.com, it has more than 200 million members, people use it daily, and it's free.

Use these tactics, work hard, update, keep learning, and soon your lens will be on Google's first page.

Help I'm an Internet Marketer

We all want to have success in our marketing.

Like you we want money coming in on a regular basis.

Like you we are doing something about it.

Most people who start an Internet business of some kind either like the big 1 up / 2 up programs, affiliate marketing or any other program come to that do so with the intent as highlighted above.

What most people do do though is know how to market and what is required to be successful. This is the No1 reason that people fail in an online business venture.

So before you spend any money on joining a system or program please PLEASE read through this post to ensure you have got all the boxes ticked.

1, Before you start any business opportunity ensure you have a budget to cover the cost of getting started. Too many people think that by spending a fortune on advertising and this and that software it guarantees success. How sooooooun-true that is and anyone who tries to convince you otherwise is looking to grab your money and run. Get yourself a small amount of money that you can afford to use for the start of your business.

2, Don't do go steaming into the first Money Making Business opportunity you see either by searching or in your inbox. Just understand that there are 1000's of people just like you convincing you that their opportunity is the best and you will make money. STOP.

My tip on this one is once you have found an opportunity that you think you could do, checkout the support , the contacts, try emailing them with a good question and see what the answer is,do your research on the company and testimonials from people who have been through it. Just keep in your mind that what they are doing to you most likely you will have to do to help other people. If this is not for you then I SERIOUSLY recommend you look at affiliate marketing. Checkout my blog of examples of how this works.

3, Once you have finished your research and your happy with what you see...then you must just go for it. Remember Action speaks louder than any words...Once committed then get ready for hard consistent work.

Owning your own Internet business is like no other business. It WILL required regular hard work,do something you enjoy ( affiliate opportunities look for a product you have an interest in ).

If your in a relationship have your partner either help and join in with you or get their backing and support.

I hope this has been of some help.

AUTOMATE Your On-Line Business For Maximum Profit

Imagine that the home-based business you've always dreamed of starting has grown into a sophisticated enterprise, with a sales department, a billing department, a customer care department, shipping, management, and all other departments of a large international business. Imagine you are the CEO, meeting with your staff to determine what departments are meeting their goals, and what departments are exceeding your expectations. Imagine the harder your departments work, the more money they produce - and NEVER ask for a DIME in raises!

THAT is the position you could be in, if you use the automation tools available for Internet-based small businesses. Plan from the beginning to use these tools as EMPLOYEES rather than just "time-savers," and your business will grow like you won't believe. Any successful CEO will tell you that a business's success is dependent on the quality of the people it hires - so YOU should "hire" the best to perform routines that can be automated.

AUTORESPONDERS can perform many functions related to customer contact and product delivery. Autoresponders can deliver a campaign of personalized emails over weeks or months, to convince a visitor to your website to become a customer. They can also deliver information products, newsletters, announcements, and other tasks related to staying in contact with your clients. A well-planned autoresponder can act as your customer care representative, responding to common inquiries.

AD TRACKING can act as your marketing department, determining the effectiveness of ads and ad campaigns. Ad tracking programs can provide you with virtually instantaneous feedback on whether a new headline or new sales letter is generating more traffic or more sales.

WEB SITE BUILDER is your own personal "geek" who designs web sites that look exactly the way you want them, and say exactly what you want them to say. Finding and learning the web site editor that you are comfortable with will save you countless hours and maybe thousands of dollars that you would have to spend on hiring someone to design, implement and maintain your website. Plan on hiring a webmaster to expand your website as your company grows in size and sophistication, by automating the web site maintenance function in a powerful web site editing program.

BILLING AND COLLECTIONS is the lifeblood of a company. You can't run a company if it doesn't collect the money. Finding and using a powerful "shopping cart" program, to automatically process payments or generate monthly billings for membership programs, will guarantee that your company's income comes in on time and in full.

TRANSLATIONS and handling international customers can expand your business's market to international dimensions. Translation programs are coming down in price and increasing in functionality, much faster for both than their human counterparts. Incorporating this function in your websites and business from the beginning will give you a presence in the international market, which is a competitive advantage over the other players in your arena.

When you are planning on setting up or expanding your on-line business, plan on what employees you would want working for you. Expect that you will hire the hardest-working, most loyal, and brightest employees you could ever imagine. Know that they will have skills and talents in their areas that far exceed anything you could ever hope to achieve. And then - use the Internet and the tools available to FIND and "HIRE" these employees. And best of all - they NEVER go on vacation, call in sick, ask for a raise, or harass the other employees. All they do is make you money!

Looking For a Vampire Woman Tattoo

It is after midnight and your craving a sexy vampire woman tattoo. You want to put a hot blood
sucker on your body? The vampire tattoo can be a welcomed addition to your Gothic lifestyle.
Join the tattoo trend that is sweeping the nation and get yourself inked!

No other tattoo screams out "Bite Me!", like a vampire woman tattoo. You don't have to be
Goth to enjoy a tattoo with fangs. You will see vampire tattoos on industrial and metal head
bangers. Again, the vampire tattoo can be worn by anyone and class does not have to be
a distinction. I knew a girl who dressed very preppy and when we went out for dinner I was
in for a suprise. She was wearing a shirt with short length sleeves, which she lifted to reveal
her dark tattoos. I never would have guessed she had those tattoos, but she had them placed
in areas well hidden.

Depending on your lifestyle, you can hide your tattoos during the day and let them out at night.
You can have a vampire woman tattoo on your arm with blood dripping from her mouth. You
even can have three vampire chicks on your arm! Have you seen the killer vampire movie
"Van Helsing(2004)?" This was not the greatest vampire movie, but it did have three voluptuous
vampire chicks. If you fashioned any vampire woman tattoo after one of these hotties, you
would have a winner. These brides of Dracula from the Van Helsing movie, looked like they
stepped out of a Fredericks of Hollywood catalog.

The book cover of The Magician's Daughter by Marilyn Granbeck(Manor 1977) has a
stunning vampire woman, who will leave you breathless. The vampire woman has long thick
black hair and is wearing a red dress(well-endowed). It appears she is wearing a sorcerer's
cape, which she spreads out with her arms like a bat. Simply by typing, "The Magician's
Daughter by Marilyn Granbeck" in Google, you will find this super sexy picture. The picture
will make a nice vampire woman tattoo for your back.

The key to having a hot vampire woman tattoo, is finding the hot chick to make it stand out.
Another movie, that has a cover of a stunning vampire chick is, "Hot Vampire Nights."
In "Hot Vampire Nights", Mina(Shelly Jones) plays the Lesbian vampire, who takes a bite
out of four victims and I would not mind being victim number five! Incidentally, Shelly Jones
is a model who worked with Playboy in the mid-1990s. She did another sexy cover for the
movie, "Lust For Dracula", which has the perfect vampire woman tattoo picture! She has her
mouth open wide, perfectly showing her fangs, red eyes, and fiery hot lipstick.

From Stephen King's "Salems Lot", to Buffy The Vampire Slayer, we just cannot get enough
of that beastly side we hold at bay. Bram Stoker's Dracula will continue to be the ultimate
description of the fictitious vampire in history. Do you want a sexy vampire woman tattoo?
